Install the App (PWA)

Install the Mobile App (PWA)

Synaptyx is a PWA (Progressive Web App). That means you can install the dashboard straight from your browser — it lands on your home screen with its own icon and opens fullscreen, with no browser bar, exactly like an app from the App Store or Play Store. There’s nothing to download from a store, and it updates itself.

Why bother? The big one is push notifications: with the app installed you get a buzz on your phone the instant a conversion fires — even when the dashboard tab is closed. On iPhone/iPad this only works once the app is installed (Apple does not allow web push from a regular Safari tab). So if you want conversion alerts on iOS, installing is mandatory, not optional.

What you actually get

FeatureWhat it does
Home-screen iconLaunch Synaptyx in one tap, fullscreen, no address bar.
Push notificationsReal-time alerts on conversions, fraud spikes, and alert rules — even with the app closed.
App icon badgeA red number on the icon showing unread alerts (iOS 16.4+, Android, desktop).
Quick-action shortcutsLong-press the icon to jump straight to Alerts, Conversions, or Insights.
Offline shellIf your connection drops, the app shows a clean “offline” screen and the last pages it cached, instead of a browser error.
Faster loadsStatic assets are cached on-device, so the app opens quicker on repeat visits.

The app shows live data — it is not a full offline tracker. Tracking links, clicks, and conversions are always served live from the edge; the offline mode is only a graceful fallback for the dashboard UI when you have no signal.

Install it

Pick your platform. On phones, Synaptyx also shows a small “Install Synaptyx” prompt at the bottom of the screen the first time you visit — you can use that instead of the manual steps below.

You must use Safari. Add to Home Screen does not exist in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge on iOS — those browsers can’t install a PWA. Open app.synaptyx.pro  in Safari first.

Tap the Share button

Tap the Share icon (the square with an upward arrow ⬆️) in Safari’s toolbar — at the bottom on iPhone, at the top on iPad.

Choose “Add to Home Screen”

Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen (➕). If you don’t see it, tap Edit Actions and add it.

Confirm with “Add”

Rename it if you like, then tap Add (top-right). The Synaptyx icon appears on your home screen.

Open it and turn on notifications

Open Synaptyx from the new home-screen icon (not from Safari), then go to Settings → Notifications and enable push. iOS only allows push from the installed app, so this step has to happen from the icon.

Synaptyx detects iOS Safari automatically and pops a little “How?” helper with these exact steps, so you don’t have to remember them.

Turn on push notifications

Installing puts the app on your home screen; a second, separate step switches on the buzz-on-conversion alerts. Do it per device (each phone/computer subscribes independently).

Open Settings → Notifications

In the app, go to Settings → Notifications.

Flip the “Push notifications” toggle

Your browser asks for permission — tap Allow. That’s it: this device now receives a notification whenever a conversion (or an alert rule you’ve set up) fires.

If you tapped Block / Don’t Allow by mistake, the toggle can’t re-ask — you have to re-enable notifications for Synaptyx in your browser’s site settings (or, on iOS, in Settings → Synaptyx → Notifications), then flip the toggle again.

Tapping a notification opens the app straight to the relevant page (e.g. the alert feed). Want to also route conversion alerts to a channel instead of your phone? See the Push Web node in the builder and Alerts & Webhooks.

Home-screen shortcuts

Once installed, long-press the app icon to jump straight into a section without opening the dashboard first:

  • Alerts → the live alert feed
  • Conversions → your most recent conversions
  • Insights → AI analytics and recommendations

Updating & uninstalling

  • Updates are automatic. The app refreshes itself in the background; just reopen it to get the latest version. No store update required.
  • Uninstall like any app: long-press the icon → Remove App (iOS) / Uninstall (Android), or right-click the window icon → Uninstall (desktop).

Troubleshooting

ProblemFix
No “Add to Home Screen” on iPhoneYou’re not in Safari. Chrome/Firefox/Edge on iOS can’t install — switch to Safari.
No install prompt on AndroidOpen the ⋮ menu → Install app. The auto-prompt only shows once; it won’t reappear after you dismiss it.
Push toggle does nothing / says blockedNotifications were denied. Re-enable them for Synaptyx in your browser’s site settings (iOS: Settings → Synaptyx → Notifications), then retry.
No notifications on iPhoneiOS only delivers web push to the installed app — open Synaptyx from the home-screen icon, not a Safari tab, then enable push.
Opens in a browser tab, not fullscreenIt wasn’t installed — you opened a normal link. Reinstall via the steps above and launch from the icon.
